At 09:20 of April 18, with the completion of the wire laying and accessory installation for the 220kV transmission line crossing the riverway of Xiliao River from Dalin Wind Farm to Gaolintun Collection Station, Beijing Energy International’s 2.38 million kW wind power base project in Tongliao achieved another milestone in construction.

The construction scope included the wire laying and accessory installation for towers No. 148 to No.152 of the high-voltage line, with the crossing point located northeast of Sihe Village in Menda Township, Kezuozhongqi Banner. The operation lasted for 2 days and involved 22 construction workers and 4 management personnel. To ensure the safety and smooth implementation of the construction operation, the Project Department made prior arrangements, actively coordinated with the Water Management Department, obtained construction permits, prepared emergency plans, strictly controlled the entry of machinery and materials, and fully prepared for the crossing construction.

The 220kV transmission line supporting the 2.38 million kW wind power base project in Tongliao consists of three transmission lines with a total length of 315 kilometers (including 7 kilometers of 220kV cables). It involves the construction of 1,114 new iron towers, spanning 13 townships and 59 administrative villages, crossing railways 5 times, highways 2 times, provincial highways 13 times, rivers 2 times, drilling under the State Grid’s 500kV lines 3 times, and crossing 220kV lines 15 times, as well as crossing 66kV lines 18 times. It requires modifications to 6 State Grid’s 220kV power lines.

The 220kV transmission line is a key and difficult project that affects the completion of the Tongliao project. Faced with challenges such as land acquisition difficulties, high safety risks, tight construction schedules, and numerous drilling and crossing points, the Project Department has efficiently cooperated with various participating units to expediate the construction procedures, make thorough preparations, and provide strong support for the smooth progress of the transmission line project.

Moving forward, the Project Department will maintain close coordination with participating units in the 220kV transmission line project, prioritizing our objectives. We will place a strong emphasis on safety management while executing construction activities with a commitment to scientific, green, and civilized practices. Our aim is to expedite the construction progress of the 220kV transmission line project, ensuring the seamless operation of Tongliao2.38 million kW wind power base project.
