On December 2, 2021, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International met with Li Bing, President of Sembcorp (China) in Beijing, and the two sides had in-depth exchanges on the development, construction and strategic investment cooperation of the large-scale new energy base project of “Green Power to Beijing”. Chu Chenglin, Vice President of Sembcorp Energy, Liu Dongsheng, Huang Hui, Jia Geng, Vice Presidents of Beijing Energy International, Zhao Li, Investment Director, Wang Yang, Chief Financial Officer and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Zhang Ping welcomed Li Bing and his delegation, and introduced the latest progress of the “Green Power to Beijing” project by developing a large-scale new energy base integrating wind, solar and hydrogen storage. He said that the multi-functional integration business not only represented a key area of investment of the company in the future, but also the trend of energy clean and low-carbon transformation and development at the national scale, which would create substantial socioeconomic benefits. He hoped that both sides could strengthen cooperation and jointly promote the implementation of the new energy base project for strategic cooperation. He said the company was willing to foster a comprehensive strategic partnership with Sembcorp (China) at the equity level to jointly promote the high-quality and rapid development of new energy business.
Li Bing set high store by the cooperation between the two parties to promote the new energy base project. He said that the two companies were highly aligned in the investment philosophy of new energy and green hydrogen, and the two sides would give full play to their respective strengths and jointly create mutual benefits. In addition, Sembcorp (China) highly recognized Beijing Energy International’s pioneering capacity and high-quality development and was willing to invest in its projects as an industrial investor and establish a deeper tie with Beijing Energy International in new energy.
