On December 30, 2021, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International met with Guo Wei, Party Secretary and Chairman of PowerChina Guizhou Engineering. The two sides had in-depth discussions on business cooperation in new energy at home and abroad and signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Wang Yuanhui, deputy general manager of Guizhou Engineering, Gao Yu, chief accountant, Chen Jiandong, assistant general manager and general manager of business and financial center, Li Bangzhong, director of market and brand department, Ren Tingkai, Wang Zhenxing, deputy general manager of business and financial center, Gong Shaowei, general manager of Beijing branch company, He Ying, general manager of Nanjing branch company, and Guo Tairan, general manager of North branch company; Jia Geng, vice president of Beijing Energy International, Zhao Li, investment director, He Kun, general manager of Northeast branch company, Du Wenyuan, general manager of East China branch company and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.
Prior to the meeting, participants visited the Exhibition Hall of Guizhou Engineering.
During the meeting, Guo Wei welcomed the visit of Zhang Ping and his delegation, and briefed the business and future planning of Guizhou Engineering. He said that the company focused on development, construction and operation of new energy projects at home and abroad. Since earlier communication with Beijing Energy International, the cooperation between the two sides has witnessed breakthroughs. He said that Beijing Energy International is an industrial leader, flexible in mechanism and great in reputation. It is hoped that the two sides will take this strategic cooperation agreement as an opportunity to innovate the cooperation mode, closely join hands in new energy project development, mergers and acquisitions and business finance at home and abroad and complement each other’s strengths for common development.
Zhang Ping introduced the current business and development plan of Beijing Energy International. He said that the company was embracing high-quality and rapid development, and it was estimated that its operational and confirmed total installed capacity would reach 10 million kilowatts by the end of the year. Guizhou Engineering, as a pioneer in new energy development and construction, has achieved remarkable results in market-oriented reform. The development concepts of the two sides are highly compatible, and there is a huge potential in new energy cooperation. It is hoped that the two sides will give full play to their respective strengths in resource and expertise, collectively expediate new energy projects, increase incremental project development and construction, establish a long-term strategic partnership, and work together for mutual benefit.
Finally, the two sides signed a strategic cooperation agreement, which will leverage their respective expertise and advantages in new energy and integrated energy at home and abroad, and jointly study and promote the innovative mode of new energy development. The two sides will carry out substantive work on transactions of mature projects, conduct in-depth cooperation on power station operation and maintenance and application of new energy technology, explore cooperation modes, and jointly build core competitiveness. They will use the levers of investment and market resources in overseas business, lock in project resources, achieve win-win cooperation and jointly promote the landing of projects. They will strengthen cooperation in integrated energy, follow up on integrated energy service and internet-based business with big data as the core, and provide viable solutions for energy users during the whole life cycle, and they will also actively explore substantial equity cooperation.
