On December 9, 2023, Beijing Energy International’s 10MW distributed photovoltaic project in Huairou Sci-tech City was smoothly connected to the grid for power generation. This project is the first major distributed photovoltaic project of sci-tech infrastructure carried out by the company. The on-grid power generation of this project strongly underpins the green and low-carbon transformation and development of Beijing. 

The project is located on the rooftop of the HEPS project in Huairou District, Beijing, with a usable area of about 46,950 square meters and a total installed capacity of 10MW. It adopts the energy management platform mode of “integrating photovoltaic power generation with smart energy”, taking into account the basic functions and aesthetic functions of the building, and embodies the perfect combination of energy internet and sci-tech entities. After the project is launched into operation, it is estimated that the annual power generation will be about 10,217,800 kWh, saving about 3,678.41 tons of standard coal and reducing about 10,187.15 tons of carbon dioxide emission, which will further promote the energy transformation and economic development of the capital city and help it attain the dual carbon goals at an early date.
