On December 11, 2023, Beijing Energy International’s 100MW Agrophotovoltaic Project in Guitai, Qinbei District, and the 110MW Agrophotovoltaic Project in Nali, Qinnan District, Qinzhou City, Guangxi, were smoothly registered, marking another milestone of Beijing Energy International in developing new energy projects in Guangxi.

With a total installed capacity of 210MW, the two agrophotovoltaic projects adopt the construction mode of integrating agricultural facilities with photovoltaic power generation, which does not occupy additional land resources. Compared with the traditional agricultural planting mode, modern agricultural greenhouses can greatly increase the output value by integrating agriculture, technology with PV power generation. After the projects are completed, they will be of demonstration effect in terms of developing new energy with modern agriculture in Guangxi.

After they are put into production, they are expected to generate about 250 million kWh of clean and green electricity every year, equivalent to saving about 75,000 tons of standard coal and reducing about 199,800 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. It will further improve local energy structure and economic development and facilitate the development of new energy industry and environmental protection in Guangxi.
