On December 27, the Pengjian 5.95MW distributed photovoltaic project in Penglai District, Yantai, Shandong Province smoothly realized on-grid power generation at full capacity. This project is the second distributed power generation project of Beijing Energy International in Shandong after the distributed photovoltaic project in Niulai (Weihai) of the province. The on-grid power generation provides a strong impetus for green and low-carbon transformation and development of local energy. 

The project is located in Shandong’s Xinqinglu Steel Plate Company, and photovoltaic modules are installed on the roofs of five steel structure factories, with a total roof area of about 92,600 square meters and a total installed capacity of 5.95MW. The project can supply electricity for its self-use, with the surplus connecting to the grid. After it is put into operation, it will generate 7,073,800 kWh of green electricity, equivalent to saving 2,200 tons of standard coal and reducing 6,200 tons of carbon dioxide every year. It will provide abundant green, clean electricity for Xinqinglu Steel Plate Company, and facilitate the energy transformation as well as the sustainable development of Penglai District.
