On March 25, a delegation from Beijing Energy International Holdings, led by vice president Liu Dongsheng, visited Baoshan, Yunnan Province, and held discussions with deputy mayor Li Xingwei of the Baoshan Municipal Government on matters related to the issuance of hydropower REITs of Baoshan Energy Development.

During the meeting, Liu Dongsheng reported on the progress of the issuance of hydropower REITs. He stated that upon completion of the enlargement of fundraising, it will be the first hydropower REITs development project in Yunnan. Beijing Energy International will focus on facilitating the support of various levels of government in Yunnan Province and Baoshan City for local new energy industry investments during the subsequent issuance. It will showcase the excellent business environment in Baoshan and highlight the demonstration value of this REITs project in revitalizing local new energy heavy asset projects. Baoshan Energy Development will leverage its experience in hydropower REITs issuance to promote the expansion of more high-quality hydropower assets and create a large-scale public REITs platform through government-enterprise cooperation. The funds raised will be invested in local new energy projects and related sectors, contributing to local economic and social development.

Li Xingwei welcomed the visit of Liu Dongsheng and his entourage and fully affirmed the phased achievements of the issuance of hydropower REITs. He stated that Baoshan will provide comprehensive policy support and service guarantees to promote the deepening and solidification of government-enterprise cooperation. He hoped that both sides would strengthen mutual trust, enhance exchange, and work together to achieve industrial synergy, complementary advantages, and win-win cooperation, thus promoting both social and economic benefits in the Baoshan.

Also present at the meeting were Li Wei, deputy secretary-general of the Baoshan Municipal Government; Zhang Tieyao, director, and She Wenwei, deputy director of the Baoshan Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission; Yang Cunjin, director of the Baoshan Municipal Relocation and Resettlement Office; Wang Yisheng, deputy director of the Baoshan Municipal Finance Bureau; He Aiguo, deputy director of the Baoshan Municipal Energy Bureau; and Zhong Yi, party secretary and general manager of Baoshan Energy Development of Beijing Energy International.
