On April 24, Beijing Energy International’s 17.5MW photovoltaic project in Rongcheng, Weihai City, Shandong Province, was successfully registered, marking another significant achievement in the company’s continuous efforts in new energy in Weihai, Shandong.
The project utilizes three pit ponds, shoals, and aquaculture waters to construct a fishery complementary photovoltaic (FPV) project with a total installed capacity of approximately 17.5MW. Once operational, it is expected to produce approximately 23.39 million kWh of green electricity annually, saving about 7,181 tons of standard coal, and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 22,457 tons. It will synergize with the 200MW/400MWh shared energy storage station in Chengshan Town, Rongcheng, Weihai, amplifying its impact across the region. These combined efforts will significantly contribute to optimizing Shandong’s energy structure and the high-quality development of green transformation.
