Quality Management Systems Certificate-CNAS
Hong Kong, the PRC, 19 February 2016 - United Photovoltaics Group Limited (“United PV” or the “Company”, stock code: 00686.HK, whose largest shareholder is China Merchants New Energy Group “CMNE”), a leading solar power plant investor and operator in China, is pleased to announce that the Company successfully obtained Quality, Environmental and Safety Management System (“QESMS”) Certification on 14th February.
The QESMS is a third-party certification established pursuant to three international standards, namely ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, with an aim to standardize corporate management, improve products quality and efficiency, save energy and reduce consumption, ensure the health and safety of the employees, and enhance the brand’s competitiveness. While the Company received certificates issued by United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS).
By establishing the QESMS, United PV improves its management system and regulates the working procedures, achieving the systemization, regulation and standardization of quality, environment and safety management. By effectively operating the QESMS, the abilities of operation and risks control and management are improved, and the standard of quality control of the Company is enhanced, thus saving energy and reducing emissions. By obtaining the QESMS certification, United PV establishes an image of green enterprise and reduces risks of environmental management and control, ensures the health and safety of the employees and strengthens the market competitiveness of the Company, striving to build the Company as a typical enterprise of the State in the transformation of energy use.
