On January 13, 2022, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International met with Li Bing, President of Sembcorp (China), and Hu Jing, Vice President of Asian Bulk Project Business Development of Air Products and Chemicals (China) Investment Corporation and their delegations in Beijing. The three parties held in-depth exchanges on business cooperation. Chu Chenglin, Assistant Vice President of Sembcorp (China); Gu Xiaodong, Vice President of Business Development of Air Products and Chemicals (China), and Yue Lei, Director of Business Development; Liu Dongsheng and Jia Geng, Vice Presidents of Beijing Energy International, Zhao Li, Investment Director, Wang Yang, Chief Financial Officer and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the three parties listened to the progress of the Clean Energy Base Project in Xilingol Prefecture in Inner Mongolia and discussed about specific details to promote the project.
Li Bing said that Beijing Energy International was an industry champion well known for its flexible mechanism and had scored amazing achievements. He said that Sembcorp (China) was willing to reach a long-term strategic partnership with Beijing Energy International, to facilitate cooperation in clean energy, and work together for innovative development.
Hu Jing said that Beijing Energy International was a fast front-runner in new energy and both sides were highly aligned on this as well as green hydrogen business and stood ready to create synergy in attaining win-win results through their long-term strategic partnership.
Zhang Ping welcomed the two visiting delegations and remarked that Sembcorp (China) had always been an industrial bellwether in new energy investment and construction at home and abroad, and the two parties had enjoyed close ties and effective communication. He also stressed that as a global industry leader, Air Products and Chemicals had an abundance of experience and cutting-edge technologies in hydrogen preparation and supply. The three parties share the development vision and complement each other in energy business, which will enable them to capitalize on their respective strengths in market, resource and technical superiority, innovate and develop for mutual benefit, and jointly hasten the earlier landing of the Clean Energy Base Project in Xilingol Prefecture.
