In 2022, Beijing Energy International actively expanded the deployment of floating photovoltaic solar energy project and its total installed capacity of the project in Hebei Province reached 700MW. Recently, the first batch of 93.4MW distributed photovoltaic projects on disused pits and ponds in Gucheng County, Hengshui, Hebei Province successfully obtained the project filing documents, which is the largest such photovoltaic project currently invested and constructed by the company. The successful filing of the project indicates that the company has made a major breakthrough in promoting the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
The planned total installed capacity of distributed photovoltaic project in Kengtang, Gucheng County, Hengshui is 200MW, and the construction is expected to kick off in September this year. The first batch of 93.4MW projects will be connected to the power grid before the end of December, and the filing of the second batch of planned 100MW will be carried out in an orderly manner. After the project is completed, the average annual power generation is about 265.35 million kWh. In addition, Hengshui’s Shenzhou 150MW distributed photovoltaic project, Wuyi 150MW distributed photovoltaic project and Xingtai’s Qinghe 200MW distributed photovoltaic project are also in full swing.
As the land use policy for new energy projects is tightening constantly, the company has adjusted its development concept, planned ahead in combination with the unique pit and pond resources in Hebei, and comprehensively utilized the disused pit and pond to develop and build new energy projects. It will not only improve the living environment, but also promote the employment of local villagers, help the financially stressed to increase their income, inject green energy into local economic development, and boost the rural revitalization of Hebei Province and its early realization of the dual carbon goal.
