On March 1, 2023, Fang Yansheng, deputy director of the Electric Power and Coal Department of Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Management paid a supervisory visit to Beijing Energy International.

During the meeting, the supervisory team listened to the work report on the project of “Green Electricity to Beijing” made by vice president Jia Geng and vice president Wu Chaoke. Participants had in-depth exchanges on the construction and promotion of this project.

Jia Geng said that the company is actively promoting the energy base project of “Green Electricity to Beijing” in an orderly manner. Going forward, it will adhere to the principle of serving the development of the capital city, give full play to its advantages in resources, talented professionals and technology, strengthen the communication mechanism, accelerate the implementation of the project according to the milestone schedule, build a national green energy industry demonstration base, so as to achieve the national dual carbon goal at an early date.

Fang Yansheng said that the company has made great progress in the early stage as the contractor of this project. It is hoped that feasibility study should be thoroughly carried out for such a large-scale project. He pointed out the importance of strengthening communication and establishing a regular contact mechanism, so as to hasten the progress and contribute to the construction of a new power system underpinned by new energy for the capital city.
