On April 4, 2023, Zhang Ping, chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International held talks in Sydney with Naveed Amirzada, Executive Partner of Venn Energy of Australia, Muren Guler, Regional President, and Charles Huang, CEO of CovaU Co., Ltd. of Australia. They exchanged on in-depth cooperation in new energy. Jia Geng, vice president of Beijing Energy International, Guo Liang, general manager of overseas business department, Shi Weiwei, general manager of Beijing Energy International’s Australia Company and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.
The development concepts of Beijing Energy International and Venn Energy are highly aligned. Based on Venn Energy’s 1GW asset package in Australia, the two sides will actively carry out all-round cooperation, establish a strategic partnership to further expand the Australian market for common development.
Beijing Energy International’s asset advantages in power generation and CovaU’s customer resources in power sales are highly complementary. Moving forward, the two sides will jointly accelerate the pace and promote the depth and breadth of cooperation to create mutual benefit and win-win outcome.
In recent years, the company keeps a close eye on the changing dynamics of international relations, actively expands the clean energy market in RCEP countries, such as Australia and Vietnam and builds the layout of key clean energy regions. Up to now, the installed capacity of the company’s overseas controlled operation has reached 644,000 kilowatts, the proposed project is about 446,000 kilowatts, and the reserve installed capacity has reached 2 million kilowatts. It is estimated that by 2025, its overseas controlled new energy installed capacity will reach 3 million kilowatts.
