On June 13, 2023, another piece of good news on project development arrived. According to the Notice of Yunnan Development and Reform Commission and Yunnan Energy Bureau on Distributing the First Batch of New Energy Construction Plans in Yunnan Province in 2023, Beijing Energy International won the contract of the 175MW photovoltaic project in Yunnan Province, marking yet another major breakthrough in the company’s independent development of new energy in Yunnan Province.
There are two projects in this batch, namely, the 100MW photovoltaic project of Huataoqing in Xundian County, Kunming, Yunnan Province, and the 75MW agro-photovoltaic project of Yila in Yuanjiang County, Yuxi, Yunnan Province. After the project is put into production, it is estimated to produce about 237 million kWh of clean and green electricity every year, equivalent to saving 73,100 tons of standard coal, reducing 236,300 tons of carbon dioxide, 71,000 tons of sulfur dioxide and 36,000 tons of nitrogen oxides, which will further promote regional economic development and environmental protection and make important contributions to the transformation and upgrading of energy structure in Xundian County and Yuanjiang County.
