On June 19, 2023, Beijing Energy International, Chongqing Shuangqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee and Jinzheng Energy (Shandong) Co., Ltd. signed the cooperation and development agreement on Beijing Energy International’s Shuangqiao Energy Project in Dazu District, Chongqing. Jia Geng, vice president of Beijing Energy International, Zhou Shuyun, deputy party secretary of the Party Working Committee of Shuangqiao Economic Development Zone, and Luo Rui, deputy general manager of Jinzheng Energy (Shandong) Co., Ltd. signed the agreement on behalf of the three parties.

The project covers natural gas peak-shaving power generation, oil and gas pipeline network, multi-energy mixing station (area) of oil, gas, electricity and hydrogen service, hydrogen preparation and application, integrated energy management project, heat supply project, LNG liquefaction plant, collaboration on new energy (new materials) among enterprises, universities and research institutes, industrial park and upstream and downstream industrial chain projects, etc. It is estimated that the total investment will be 7 billion yuan. After the completion of the project, it will contribute to the socioeconomic development of the region and the all-round development of local energy industry.

Zhang Ping, chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International, delivered a speech at the signing ceremony, extending the company’s gratitude for Dazu District Committee, District Government, Shuangqiao Economic Development Zone Management Committee and other partners for their strong support. Zhang Ping said that Chongqing is a key investment area for the company and it will pool its strength, promote the rapid landing of signed projects and build high-quality demonstration projects. At the same time, it will increase investment in the light of local resource endowments, ensure the scale and synergy effects to meet the growing demand for energy security to support Chongqing in achieving its dual carbon goal at an early date.
