On June 26, 2023, Beijing Energy International’s Ningxu 90MW photovoltaic project in Wulian County, Rizhao City, Shandong Province was connected to power grid at its full capacity. This project is part of Rizhao’s initiative of “attracting investment and talent”, and it is one of the key new energy photovoltaic projects in Wulian County. Its on-grid power generation provides a strong impetus for consolidating the high-quality development of new energy industry in Shandong.

The project is located in Yuli Town, Wulian County, Rizhao City, Shandong Province, with a planned capacity of 200MW. In this phase, it is planned to build 90MW installed capacity and a 36MW energy storage station. After the completion, it is estimated to generate about 120 million kWh of green electricity, equivalent to saving 43,200 tons of standard coal and reducing by about 114,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year. With remarkable economic and social benefits, the project will contribute to the construction of a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient modern energy system in Shandong.
