On August 18, 2023, Zhang Ping, chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International, met Gao Jifan, chairman of Trina Solar Co., Ltd. in Beijing. The two sides exchanged on in-depth cooperation in clean energy and signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

At the meeting, Zhang Ping welcomed Gao Jifan and his delegation and introduced the business development and future planning of Beijing Energy International. He said that Trina Solar has strong technical strength and outstanding professional capabilities and has made remarkable achievements in photovoltaic modules, energy storage, digital service platforms and new energy project development. Both companies share similar development concept in the field of clean energy, and there is a wide space for cooperation. It is hoped that both sides will fully use their respective advantages and carry out in-depth and all-round cooperation in clean energy project development, energy storage and smart energy at home and abroad.

Gao Jifan introduced the overall business situation of Trina Solar. He said that as a pilot enterprise for the mixed-ownership reform of Beijing’s SOEs, Beijing Energy International enjoys a flexible and efficient mechanism and a strong development momentum. It is hoped that the two sides will maintain long-term friendly cooperative relations and cooperate in multiple dimensions such as products, projects and services to accelerate the implementation of cooperative projects, innovation and development for win-win outcome, and jointly contribute to the green and low-carbon transformation and development of the energy sector.

Finally, the two sides signed a strategic cooperation agreement which will allow both parties to fully leverage their respective advantages, carry out all-round, long-term and strategic cooperation in power station development, information sharing and new energy system solutions, and build a win-win and sustainable strategic partnership.
