On October 14, 2023, Zhang Ping, chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International, and Liu Guoxi, party secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of the Trade Union, met with Yang Jun, party secretary of Baoshan Municipal Committee of Yunnan Province, and Chen Rui, deputy party secretary of the Municipal Committee and Mayor in Beijing. The two sides discussed on how to deepen cooperation on clean energy and capital operation.

At the meeting, Yang Jun said that since the intention of cooperation was reached in September, 2022, the two sides have focused on the cooperation goals, set up a special task force to promote the project construction at a high level, which has achieved the expected goals and milestones. He emphasized that Baoshan is rich in green energy resources and hoped to deepen energy cooperation with Beijing Energy International and strive to make Baoshan a clean energy base with multi-complementary functions of wind energy, solar energy and energy storage. It is hoped that the company will continue to leverage its advantages in specialized expertise and talented pool and provide all-round and in-depth support to Baoshan’s new energy project development and construction, technological innovation, and zero-carbon industrial park construction. Baoshan will actively coordinate and tackle the existing challenges, accelerate the project construction to build it into high-quality and exemplary one.

He pointed out that Baoshan has a high-quality and efficient business environment, striking locational advantages, excellent ecology and rich resources. The company has always regarded Baoshan as a strategic place for its development, and it stands ready to deepen cooperation and seek common development, and constantly expand cooperation in various fields. As regards the Baoshan Energy Development, Beijing Energy International will live up to the expectations of Baoshan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and continue to intensify the development of new energy projects and REITs issuance, and go to great lengths to make the company bigger, stronger and more competitive according to the established goals and time table, so as to contribute to the city’s socioeconomic development and help it realize high-quality and leap-frogging development earlier.
