From November 24 to 26, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Beijing Energy International, visited Frankfurt and Düsseldorf, Germany, and held discussions with relevant institutions and enterprises about the German renewable energy market and project development conditions. During the trip, Zhang Ping met with representatives from the Bank of China Frankfurt Branch, the Association of Chinese Industry and Commerce in Germany, and Shandong Energy Scharf Co., Ltd., holding discussions on investment and cooperation in Europe’s clean energy sector. Participants included Chen Longjian, President of the Bank of China Frankfurt Branch, Luan Wei, President of the Association of Chinese Industry and Commerce in Germany, and Liu Jun, General Manager of Shandong Energy Scharf Co., Ltd.
In the meeting with the Bank of China Frankfurt Branch, both sides introduced their respective business domains and industrial strategies. The discussions focused on financial cooperation to support Beijing Energy International’s expansion of renewable energy investments in Europe. Both parties agreed to take this meeting as an opportunity to establish regular communication and leverage their strengths for mutual benefit.
During the exchange with the Association of Chinese Industry and Commerce in Germany, President Luan Wei provided an overview of Germany’s industrial layout, renewable energy projects, and market entry strategies. He highlighted the association’s robust relationships with prominent German industrial companies and offered support for Beijing Energy International in establishing a commercial network in Germany’s renewable energy sector. Zhang Ping expressed gratitude for the association’s assistance and shared the company’s business focus and strategy for entering the European market.
In discussions with Shandong Energy Scharf Co., Ltd., General Manager Liu Jun introduced the company’s core business areas, its development strategy in Germany, and the application of its technologies in renewable energy. Zhang Ping noted that Shandong Energy Scharf’s leading expertise in manufacturing monorails and railcars for mining transport has already found successful applications in renewable energy scenarios such as pumped storage hydropower, hydropower plants, and underground powerline corridors. He emphasized the synergy between the two companies’ operations and expressed a willingness to explore collaborative models in Europe.
Zhang Ping also met with German energy developers and equipment suppliers to gain a deeper understanding of local energy project cases and technological requirements.
Zhang Ping was accompanied on this trip by Jia Geng, Vice President of Beijing Energy International, and Li Jian, Investment Director and General Manager of the Strategic Investment Department.
