On January 9, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Beijing Energy International, met in Beijing with Pan Dongling, Deputy Mayor of Changzhou Municipal Government, Jiangsu. The two sides held discussions on deepening cooperation in the clean energy sector and signed a cooperation agreement.
At the meeting, Zhang Ping welcomed Pan Dongling and his delegation and provided an overview of the company’s business development and future plans. Zhang emphasized the company’s business layout in Jiangsu and expressed gratitude for the strong support provided by Changzhou. He stated that Changzhou’s well-structured clean energy industry aligns closely with the company’s development philosophy. Zhang hoped both parties could leverage their strengths to expand cooperation areas, engage in deeper collaboration in project investment and development, and contribute to achieving the province’s dual carbon goals.
Pan Dongling introduced Changzhou’s basic situation, economic development, and industrial planning. He praised and recognized the company’s achievements in recent years. Pan highlighted that Changzhou, known as the “Capital of New Energy,” boasts a well-established clean energy industry with outstanding advantages. He noted the high level of synergy and extensive potential for collaboration with the company. Pan expressed hope for exploring new cooperation opportunities, promising comprehensive, high-level support and services from Changzhou to foster industrial collaboration, mutual advantages, and shared success.
During the discussions, the two parties signed a cooperation agreement. The company plans to use its subsidiary, United Photovoltaics (Changzhou) Investment Co., Ltd., as the main platform to further integrate resources in the East China region. It aims to enhance this subsidiary’s regional functions and expand its operational scope. In Wujin National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, the company will establish an internationally leading and domestically top-tier clean energy headquarters hub that integrates management, investment, settlement, demonstration applications, R&D, and manufacturing. Moving forward, the two sides will deepen cooperation in clean energy development, energy storage, distributed energy, microgrids, and other related fields to contribute to building Changzhou as the “Capital of New Energy.”
Attendees included Han Xueqin, Director of the Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce; Li Hao, Member of the Standing Committee of Wujin District Party Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Wujin National High-tech Industrial Development Zone; Wei Zhuo, Deputy Director of the Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce; Zhou Mingjun, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Wujin National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone; and Wang Ti, Director of the Fourth Division of the Secretariat. Beijing Energy International was represented by Vice President Huang Hui and Vice President Jia Geng, as well as CFO Wang Yang.
