On April 19, Beijing Energy International’s distributed photovoltaic project in Qixing, Xundian County, Kunming, Yunnan was successfully connected to the power grid.
The project is spread across five towns in Xundian County—Qixing Town, Gongshan Town, Rende Town, Yangjie Town, and Jinsuo Town—with a total of 73 installation sites. These installations are primarily located on the suitable but underutilized rooftops, as well as schools and other buildings in these towns. The total installed capacity is 7.166MW, and the project adopts a fully grid-connected mode.
Once operational, it is expected to generate approximately 9.3113 million kWh of green electricity annually, equivalent to saving about 2,800 tons of standard coal and reducing CO₂ emissions by approximately 7,700 tons. The project delivers both social and economic benefits, further advancing the clean and low-carbon energy transition in Kunming.
