On October 8, 2021, Zhu Jun, president of Beijing Energy International visited Gong Yisheng, the magistrate of Fengjie County in Chongqing. The two sides discussed investment and construction in clean energy and other fields and signed a framework agreement on investment projects in the county. Hu Yunqing, executive deputy county magistrate, Zhou Yang, deputy county magistrate, Zhang Xingwen, deputy general manager of Energy Investment Department of Beijing Energy Holding, Jia Geng, vice president of Jingneng International, Lei Muchuan, general manager of Southwest Branch and Tibet Energy Company and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Gong Yisheng welcomed Zhu Jun and his delegation, and introduced the county’s 14th Five-Year Plan. He said that Beijing Energy Holding was a strong industry champion well known for its rapid development and good reputation with flexible mechanism. He hoped that both sides would give full play to their respective local and industrial advantages, forge deeper partnership, accelerate the implementation of investment projects, and look forward to more investment by the company to boost Chongqing’s industrial development and regional economic growth.
Zhu Jun introduced the company’s resource advantages in various business segments, its current operation and future planning. He said that Beijing Energy International, as a red-chip company listed in Hong Kong, was embracing high-quality and rapid development, and the development concepts of both sides were highly converged. He hoped that both sides would establish a long-term strategic, cooperative relationship, propel their cooperation to bear fruits in various fields, and attain win-win results, thus help the county realize its goal of the 14th Five-Year Plan earlier.
After the meeting, the two sides signed a framework agreement on investment project, according to which, Beijing Energy International will build 200,000 kW wind power and 500,000 kW photovoltaic power generation projects, natural gas supply platform of inland LNG receiving terminal (filling station), ship and vehicle fuel system reconstruction base, multi-functional hybrid station and other projects in the county. After the completion of the projects, it will further help the county in its clean energy base and low-carbon development, ensure the growing demand for electricity and natural gas in the region to be met and stable energy supply, create more job opportunities, and contribute to local energy conservation, emissions reduction and economic returns.
