Recently, Beijing Energy International’s 120MW agrophotovoltaic project in Pingtang, Tianlin County, Baise City, Guangxi Province, was smoothly registered. This marks another significant milestone of the company in the development of new energy projects in Guangxi.
With a total installed capacity of 120MW, the project adopts a construction scheme that integrates agricultural facilities with photovoltaics, requiring no additional land resources. Compared to traditional agricultural planting methods, modern agricultural greenhouses can significantly increase output value. It represents an organic integration of agriculture, technology and photovoltaics. Once operational, it is expected to produce approximately 1.2 billion kWh of clean and green electricity annually, equivalent to saving about 36,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 105,200 tons. The project will further improve local energy structure and serve as a demonstration project for integrating modern agriculture and new energy in Guangxi. It will promote local economic development and contribute to the new energy industry and environmental protection in the province.
