To cultivate a management team with strong comprehensive qualities and problem-solving abilities, and to provide robust support for achieving the company’s strategic goals and establishing a sound core talent pipeline, the Beijing Energy International “Entering Huawei” Advanced Training Program officially launched at Huawei’s Sanyapo Base in Dongguan on August 5. Attendees included Jiang Fan, Party Secretary and Chairman of Beijing Energy Holding (BEH); Zhang Fengyang, Vice President of BEH; Yang Yougui, Senior Vice President of Huawei; Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Beijing Energy International; Liu Guoxi, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Trade Union of Beijing Energy International; and Zhu Jun, President of Beijing Energy International, along with 45 mid-to-senior-level management personnel from Beijing Energy International headquarters and its subsidiaries.
In his welcome speech, Huawei’s Senior Vice President Yang Yougui shared Huawei’s success stories and case studies, expressing the hope that this learning opportunity would further deepen exchange and mutual promotion between the two companies.
During his opening remarks, Jiang Fan highlighted Huawei’s status as a Fortune Global 500 company and a global leader in ICT infrastructure and smart devices, known for its mature business management systems and advanced management concepts. He urged participants to fully seize this invaluable opportunity to learn from a world-class enterprise. Jiang emphasized the importance of deeply absorbing Huawei’s management practices, operational strategies, and innovative approaches, and then translating this knowledge into actionable skills and competencies that can drive tangible results in their own work.
First, he emphasized the need to strengthen risk control while sustaining rapid growth. As a pilot enterprise for reform within BEH, Beijing Energy International should prioritize quality in its development, striking a balance between high-quality growth and stringent safety standards to effectively prevent and mitigate risks. Second, he encouraged participants to embrace innovation while reinforcing their commitment to compliance. Drawing on Huawei’s rigorous control systems, he urged them to enhance team discipline and effectiveness, and to use institutional norms to guide employee behavior. Third, he underscored the importance of balancing market expansion with compliance management. He called for carrying forward the spirit of “leaving no stone unturned” in seeking out new projects, while also ensuring strict adherence to regulations, so that every project stands up to future scrutiny.
During the program, Jiang Fan and his entourage also conducted a research visit to Huawei, where the two parties held discussions on topics such as digital infrastructure platforms, intelligent power plants, new energy industry cooperation, and digital talent cultivation, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
Relevant department heads and enterprise leaders from BEH and Huawei participated in these activities.
