BJ ENERGY INTL’s Liyuan Distributed Photovoltaic Project in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area Connected to the Grid
Time:2024-09-18

On September 14, the Liyuan 1.3 MW distributed photovoltaic project in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BETDA), operated by Beijing Energy International, was successfully connected to the grid. As another distributed solar project established in Beijing, it represents a significant achievement in promoting local green energy transition.

Located within the Beijing Yiqing Daily Chemicals Company Park of the Opto-Mechatronics Industrial Base in BETDA, the project has a total installed capacity of 1.3 MW and operates under the “self-consumption with surplus electricity fed into the grid” model. Upon operation, it is expected to generate approximately 1.529 million kilowatt-hours of clean, green electricity annually, equivalent to saving around 489.1 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 1,281.5 tons per year. The project brings both social and economic benefits, contributing to Beijing’s energy security and green development.
