Time:2024-09-25

On September 24, Beijing Energy International successfully connected its 1 MW distributed photovoltaic project at the Hui Tian Network IDC Industrial Park in Tongzhou District, Beijing, to the grid. This project is Beijing Energy International’s first distributed solar project built at a data center, marking significant progress in promoting low-carbon data center construction.

Located in Yingezhuang Village, Songzhuang Town, Tongzhou District, the project has a total installed capacity of 1.0 MW and operates under the “self-consumption with excess electricity fed into the grid” model. Upon commissioning, the project is expected to generate approximately 1.0721 million kWh of green electricity annually. This is equivalent to saving around 323.238 tons of standard coal per year and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 887.699 tons. The project delivers both economic and social benefits, contributing to the construction of Beijing’s sub-center as a national green development demonstration zone.
