Beijing Energy International has recently made another significant achievement in its project development efforts. The company has been granted construction approval for a 580,000-kW wind power project in Guizhou. This follows the company’s first approval for new energy projects in the province in July 2024.
The construction approval covers six wind power projects, including the Xiaoniuchang Wind Farm in Guiguo Town, the Muban Wind Farm in Zhuzang Town, the Nuochong Wind Farm in Xiongjiachang Town, the Yujiaba Wind Farm in Baini Town, in Zhijin County; the Guoba Wind Farm in Xiehe Town, and the Xinqian Wind Farm in Zhongjian Town, in Qianxi, Bijie City, Guizhou. The total installed capacity of these six projects is 580,000 kW.
Once operational, the projects are expected to generate approximately 1.16 billion kWh of clean, green electricity annually, equivalent to saving about 353,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by around 960,000 tons. The projects will further support the transformation and upgrade of the local energy structure, promote regional economic development, and contribute to the realization of Guizhou’s dual carbon goals.
