The Implementation Plan of the Integrated Demonstration Project of Hydrogen and Ammonia Production in Xilingol, Inner Mongolia Passed Expert Review
From July 26 to July 27, 2022, the expert review meeting on the Implementation Plan of Integrated Demonstration Project of Hydrogen and Ammonia Production in Xilingol, Inner Mongolia organized by China International Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd.(CIECC)，and entrusted by Beijing Energy International, was held in Hohhot. Relevant personnel of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia Power (Group) Co., Ltd., Xilingol League Energy Bureau, Xilingol League Industry and Information Bureau, Zhengxiangbaiqi Banner Government, Duolun County Government, Zhenglanqi Banner Government, Saudi’s ACWA Power, Air Products and Chemicals (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Sembcorp (China), North China Power Engineering Company(NCPEC) of China Energy Engineering Group Planning and Engineering Co., Ltd, and Inner Mongolia Electric Power Survey & Design Institute Co., Ltd attended the event in person or through a video link.
The main design achievements of the implementation plan of the project were presented during the meeting. Participants agreed that the project is of great significance in green and low-carbon development as it is conducive to achieving the dual carbon goals, conforms to the national energy industry policy, promotes the development of new energy and hydrogen energy as well as local economic growth, and innovates the integrated industrial mode of hydrogen and ammonia production from wind and light, and thus the project construction is necessary.
During the meeting, the review expert group believed that the project produced hydrogen and ammonia by wind, light and green electricity, which can realize the synchronized development of hydrogen energy and chemical industry, extend the green and low-carbon industrial chain, promote the green and low-carbon transformation of energy, conform to national energy strategy and hydrogen energy industry planning, and meet the requirements of the major guidelines, namely the Opinions on Promoting the High-quality Development of Wind Power Photovoltaic New Energy Industry in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the Opinions on Promoting the High-quality Development of Hydrogen Energy Industry. The meeting agreed in principle to the implementation plan and put forward valuable recommendations on how to promote the implementation of the project construction. The meeting finally adopted the evaluation opinions.
