On October 10, 2022, the first phase of Beijing Energy International’s Yangxi natural gas cogeneration project in Yangjiang, Guangdong Province was approved by Yangjiang Development and Reform Bureau. This is the company’s first integrated smart energy project of cold, heat and electricity in a large-scale zone. The approval of the project marks the further expansion the company’s integrated energy business.

The Phase I of Yangxi Natural Gas Cogeneration Project in Yangjiang, Guangdong Province will build a 2×100MW gas-steam combined cycle cogeneration unit and a 30-ton startup emergency gas heating boiler, supporting the construction of a heating pipe network of about 10 kilometers. After the project is completed and put into production, the annual power supply will be about 1.126 billion kWh, and the annual heat supply will be about 2.544 million GJ, which will transform the Zhongshan Torch (Yangxi) Industrial Transfer Industrial Park of Yangjiang into a green, smart and low-carbon one, boost regional green sustainable development and economic development, and contribute to the early realization of the dual carbon goals in Guangdong Province.
