On October 10, 2022, the 4MW/20MWh energy storage project of Beijing Energy International’s Jiangda Zangneng and Yulong Photovoltaic Power Stations kicked off. This project is the first energy storage technological transformation project of Beijing Energy International in Tibet. The successful start of the project marks the company’s expansion of new energy business in Tibet.
The 4MW/20MWh energy storage project, as the key power supply guarantee project of Tibet Autonomous Region in 2022, follows the development concept of integrating photovoltaic power generation and energy storage, with an additional 20%/5h energy storage system in design, that is, the electrochemical energy storage system of 4MW/20MWh lithium iron phosphate. After the project is put into operation, the annual power generation utilization hours of Jiangda Zangneng and Yulong Photovoltaic Power Stations can be increased by about 1,500 hours. With increased revenue, the power stations will see improved balance of electricity supply and demand in Changdu area, which will further promote regional energy transformation and economic development.
