Recently, Beijing Energy International’s 1.38 million-kw wind power project in Horqin District of Tongliao was approved. This is the second large-scale wind power project approved for the company in Tongliao, following the 1 million-kw wind power project of Horqin Zuoyi Houqi Banner in Tongliao, and it is also the single largest onshore wind power project for Beijing Energy International at present.

The project is located in Horqin District, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with a total installed capacity of 1.38 million kilowatts. After the project is completed, it is estimated that the average annual power generation will be 4.28 billion kWhs, and 1.32 million tons of standard coal will be saved annually.

The two wind power projects in Tongliao, with a total installed capacity of 2.38 million kilowatts will serve as a key clean energy base of the company in the future, effectively support the company’s strategy of “strengthening resource reserves by integrating reserve bases and seeking domestic and international expansion” and help the company implement the grand strategy in wind and solar energy development, speed up the building of a clean energy industry ecosystem featuring green and complementary development and smart integration, and build itself into a first-class international clean energy provider, green investor and operator.
