On June 7, 2023, Liu Guoxi, party secretary and chairman of Trade Union of Beijing Energy International met with Pubu Dunzhu, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Xizang Autonomous Region and party secretary of Lhasa Municipal Committee in Lhasa, Xizang. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on deeply participating in the development of clean energy projects in Xizang. Wang Qi, executive director and general manager of Beijing Jingneng International Integrated Smart Energy Company, and Zhang Bo, general manager of Beijing Energy International Zangneng Company attended the meeting.

Pubu Dunzhu welcomed Liu Guoxi and introduced about the energy resources and local development planning in Xizang. He said that Xizang has unique wind and hydro resources and a highly potential new energy market. He praised the expertise, flexible mechanism, high efficiency, and rapid development and achievements in the investment and construction of clean energy base and smart city energy system of Beijing Energy International. He welcomed the company to invest in Xizang and hoped that the two sides would continue deepening cooperation in developing clean energy projects in Xizang. The Lhasa municipal government will provide all-round policy support and service guarantee, strengthen pragmatic cooperation with enterprises by complementing each other’s advantages.

Liu Guoxi introduced the business development of Beijing Energy International and its future plans for participating in the development of clean energy projects in Xizang. He said that the company has focused on building a clean energy industry ecosystem featuring green development and complementarity through combining multiple energy and smart integration, attached great importance to the pairing-up support for Xizang, and is very much looking forward to cooperating with Lhasa in building clean energy bases in southeast Xizang and Lhasa and in building smart cities and smart energy. It will fully capitalize on the strengths of Beijing Energy International’s only subsidiary in Xizang, actively introduce green energy to support Lhasa to build a pioneering economic development area on the plateau.
