On October 19, 2023, with the completion of the last concrete pouring, the 220kV GIS room of the 500kV booster station project of Tongliao 1.38 million kW wind power project was smoothly topped out, which laid the groundwork for the upcoming equipment installation and grid connection.
The 220kVGIS room is a first-floor building with reinforced concrete frame structure, with a building area of 1,107m2 and a height of 8.7 meters. On September 15, the construction team entered the site, and made all preparations before the construction. On September 21, they got the basic map of the GIS room, and on September 22, they took the first shovel, marking the start of construction of the 220kVGIS room. All the project staff and the sub-contracting operation teams worked hardly and everything got into full swing. While ensuring safety and high quality, it took 28 days to welcome the topping off of the main structure of the 220kV GIS room on October 19.
In order to ensure the topping out of the 220kV GIS distribution room of the booster station, the site general contractor and supervisors strictly control the construction process, every key process and link such as formwork support, steel bar binding and concrete pouring, and actively overcome challenges such as complex terrain and limited access to roads, which secures the smooth topping out. Going forward, Beijing Energy International will seize the golden period of the project construction, speed up the equipment installation of the booster station and the decoration construction progress of the complex building, and strive to sprint towards the grid connection goal for power generation.
