On December 26, 2023, Wang Liuhu, vice president of Beijing Energy International met with Zhang Jian, director of the Tongzhou District Water Affairs Bureau, in Tongzhou District, Beijing. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on promoting cooperation on renewable energy and new energy. 

In the context of the development positioning of new energy and renewable energy in Beijing, the development planning of Tongzhou District and local resource endowment, etc., the two sides conducted in-depth discussion on the cooperation and pathway of the industrial integration project featuring integrated energy, smart agriculture and eco-tourism, and exchanged views on how to utilize the water resources and land resources of sewage treatment plants, build water source heat pump (WSHP) and distributed PV green power projects for cooling and heating as well as green electricity supply for the area. The two sides agreed that this meeting served as the starting point for cooperation between Beijing Energy International and Tongzhou District Water Affairs Bureau in the field of new energy and renewable energy. Going forward, the two sides will take it as an opportunity to deepen cooperation, create an integrated energy project with demonstration effect, and promote the green and low-carbon development of the energy sector in Beijing.
