Panda Photovoltaic Power Station in Datong, Shanxi Province

Panda Photovoltaic Power Station is located in Yunzhou District, Datong City, Shanxi Province, with an installed capacity of 50 MW. It is a green energy demonstration project promoted by the United Nations Development Program in 2016. The total area of the power station is about 1,851 mu (123 hectares), the total investment is 429.135 million yuan, and the annual output of green energy is about 80 million kWh, equivalent to saving 26,000 tons of coal resources and reducing 68,500 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. It is greatly conducive to protecting the ecological environment and fulfilling the concept of green development.

Yingyaoshan Wind Farm in Pianguan, Shanxi Province

Yingyaoshan Wind Farm is located in Jiaoernian Village, Pianguan County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, thirty kilometers away from Pianguan County. Its construction started in March 2019, and it was connected to the grid at full capacity on July 18, 2020.

The investment of this project is 388 million yuan, and the installed capacity is 50MW. There are 20 wind turbines produced by Zhejiang Windey Co., Ltd., which are connected to the 220kV Yingyaoshan Wind Farm booster station by two 35kV wind power collection lines and share a main transformer with Yingyaoshan Wind Farm in Pinglu.

The annual power generation is about 102 million kWh, and the annual utilization hours are about 2,033 hours, which can save 35,700 tons of standard coal and reduce the emission of carbon dioxide by about 94,000 tons.


Lianhuashan Wind Farm in Xiyang, Shanxi Province

Lianhuashan Wind Farm is located in Qijie Village, Zhanshang Town, Xiyang County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province. The altitude range of this project is between 1,200 meters and 1,550 meters.

The investment of this farm is about 300 million yuan, and the installed capacity is 30MW. There are 14 Goldwind turbines in the farm and it shares a main transformer with Lianhuashan Wind Farm in Heshun.

The average annual effective power generation utilization hours can reach 2,300 hours, which means that the annual output of green energy electricity is about 69 million kWh, equivalent to saving 21,400 tons of coal resources and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 57,300 tons, which is greatly conducive to protecting the ecological environment and practicing the concept of green development.

Lingpaozhe Photovoltaic Power Station in Datong, Shanxi Province

The Lingpaozhe Photovoltaic Power Station is located near Nancaojiagou Village, Dianwan Town, Zuoyun County, Datong City, Shanxi Province. It is about 35km away from Datong City and 18km away from Zuoyun County. The average altitude of the station site is 1,500 meters.

It belongs to the Lingpaozhe Base of Datong Coal Mining Subsidence Area, is the first demonstration base of advanced photovoltaic power generation technology in China. It was approved by the National Energy Administration in June 2015.

It covers an area of about 5,584 mu (around 369 hectares). The site is open with low hills. The installed capacity is 100MW. On June 24, 2016, it was connected to the grid with full capacity for power generation. The total investment of the project is 897 million yuan, and the average annual utilization hours are 1,656.83 hours, which means that the annual output of green electricity is about 165.68 million kWh, equivalent to saving 51,000 tons of standard coal and reducing 138,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year, making great contributions to the national dual carbon goals.

Gengxishan Wind Farm in Yangqu, Shanxi Province

The Gengxishan Wind Farm is located in Shicao Village, Yangxing Township, Yangqu County, Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. It was connected to the grid on December 18, 2020.

It covers a total area of 1.25 square kilometers, with an installed capacity of 46.8MW. There are 15 Envision wind turbines in total, and the generated power was transmitted to the 220kV booster station by two 35kV overhead collector lines.

The total investment of this farm is 411.1856 million yuan. The average annual effective power generation utilization hours can reach 2,200 hours, which means that it produces about 102.96 million kWh of green energy annually, equivalent to saving 31,400 tons of coal resources and reducing 85,700 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, which is greatly conducive to protecting the ecological environment and practicing the concept of green development.

Lianhuashan Wind Farm in Heshun, Shanxi Province

The Lianhuashan Wind Farm is located in Mafang Town, Heshun County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province. The altitude of the project is between 1,200 meters to 1,550 meters.

Its total investment is about 360 million yuan and the installed capacity is 40MW. There are 16 Envision turbines, which share a main transformer with Xiyang’s Lianhuashan Wind Farm.

The average annual effective power generation utilization hours can reach 2,300 hours, which means that it can produce about 92 million kWh of green energy annually, equivalent to saving 28,500 tons of coal resources and reducing 76,400 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, which is greatly conducive to protecting the ecological environment and practicing the concept of green development.

Mijiayu Wind Farm in Hunyuan, Shanxi Province

The Mijiayu Wind Farm is located 500 meters west of Beishuitou Village, Nanyulin Town, Hunyuan, Datong City, Shanxi Province. It was connected to the grid on December 19, 2018.

At the beginning of the construction of this project, it had set the quality goal as “eligible for winning the ‘Fenshui Cup Award’”, the highest award for high-quality projects in Shanxi Province, and the corresponding excellent engineering measures and green construction scheme were formulated based on this goal. Seven of the ten new technologies in the construction industry have been applied in this project, enabling it to win the second prize of QC Group of Taiyuan Construction Industry Association, the second prize of QC Group of Shanxi Construction Industry Association, the title of High-quality Construction Project of Shanxi Electric Power Construction Project and the title of Excellent Project of Shanxi Province.

It covers an area of 21.5 mu (around 1.4 hectares), with an installed capacity of 50 MW. The annual equivalent utilization hours are 2,111 hours. It means that it produces about 105.55 million kWh of green energy annually, equivalent to saving 31,900 tons of coal resources and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 88,600 tons.

Yuhua Wind Farm in Hejin, Shanxi Province

The Yuhua Wind Farm is located in Shanghua Village, Xiahua Town, Hejin, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province. The altitude of the site area is between 860 meters and 1,100 meters, and it is located at the top of Longmen Mountain, the southernmost part of Lvliang Mountain. It is a hilly landform overlooking Yuncheng Basin to the south, with a straight distance of about 13km from Hejin City. It was fully connected to the grid on October 25, 2020.

Its installed capacity is 50MW, and there are 19 Goldwind turbines, which are connected to the 110kV booster station of the wind farm through two power collection lines. The annual power generation is about 136 million kWh, which can save 41,500 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 113,200 tons. It conforms to the development idea of building a resource-saving and environment-friendly society and has delivered considerable commercial and social benefits.

Yingyaoshan Wind Farm in Pinglu, Shanxi Province

The Yingyaoshan Wind Farm is located in Kouzishang Village, Xiashuitou Town, Pinglu District, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province. The center of the wind farm is about 45km away from the urban area of Shuozhou City. Its construction started in March 2019 and was connected to the grid at full capacity on August 12, 2020.

The investment of this project is 700.6 million yuan, and the installed capacity is 100MW. There are 39 wind turbines produced by Zhejiang Windey Co., Ltd. Four 35kV wind power collection lines are used to access the 220kV booster station in the farm, which share a main transformer with the Yingyaoshan Wind Farm in Pianguan.

The annual power generation is about 210.6 million kWh, and the annual utilization hours are about 2106 hours. It can save 66,300 tons of standard coal per year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 174,800 tons per year.

Wolongdong Wind Farm in Youyu, Shanxi Province

The Wolongdong Wind Farm is located in the mountainous area 20 kilometers north of Fenghuang Town, north of Pinglu District, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province. The altitude of the site is between 1,506 meters and 1,854 meters. Geomorphologically, it is located in the Karst erosion denudation in the undulating mountains.

Its installed capacity is 99.5MW, with a total of 50 Goldwind turbines, generating about 246 million kWh annually. It can save 76,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 204,200 tons every year, which plays a positive role in improving the atmospheric environment.

Shanxi Yima Photovoltaic Power Station in Lingshi County

Beijing Energy International’s Yima Photovoltaic Power Station in Lingshi County is positioned as a “zero-carbon green energy, technology leader, subsidence utilization, and ecological restoration” project. It supports Lingshi’s energy-driven low-carbon development and promotes local new energy consumption. It can achieve comprehensive land restoration in coal mining subsidence areas, increase farmers’ income, and improve the ecological environment. The station is located in Jiaokou Town, Lingshi County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, covering an area of about 5,000 mu (about 82.35 acres). The registered installed capacity is 100 megawatts, and after being put into operation, it is expected to generate an average annual power output of 147.2 million kilowatt-hours, equivalent to saving about 47,800 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 126,000 tons, contributing to sustainable energy development.

Shanxi Yungang District Photovoltaic Project in Datong City

Shanxi Yungang District Photovoltaic Project is a key project in Datong City for the 2022-2023 period. The project is located in the area connecting Yungang Town in Yungang District and Xicun in Xinrong District, Datong City, Shanxi Province, with a total installed capacity of 100 megawatts. After being put into operation, it is expected to generate an average annual power output of 155 million kilowatt-hours, equivalent to saving about 55,800 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 147,000 tons. The project has significant social, environmental, and economic benefits and will further promote economic development and energy structure transformation in Shanxi.
