Jiayuguan Photovoltaic Power Station in Gansu Province

The Jiayuguan Photovoltaic Power Station is located in Jiaxi Photovoltaic Industrial Park, Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province, with an installed capacity of 100 MW. It is a large-scale ground photovoltaic project for investment attraction in Jiayuguan City. The average annual sunshine duration in the project site are about 3,031 hours, and it belongs to the first-tier area of solar energy resources in China. The power station covers an area of about 3,900 mu (around 260 hectares), with an average annual power generation of about 155 million kWh, which can be used by 100,000 households for one year. It can save about 51,000 tons of standard coal and reduce about 133,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year, equivalent to planting 270,000 trees every year, reducing sulfur dioxide emissions by about 1,300 tons and nitrogen oxides by 1,194 tons. It has delivered good economic and environmental benefits.

Hongcheng Agro-PV Complementary Project in Yongdeng District, Lanzhou, Gansu

Beijing Energy International’s 100MW agro-PV complementary project in Hongcheng, Yongdeng District, Lanzhou, Gansu Province, is located west of Xingou Village, Kushui Town. The project includes a planned 100MW photovoltaic installation and 15MW/60MWh energy storage. It adopts an agro-PV complementary model, utilizing the land efficiently by cultivating alfalfa—the “king of forage”—to increase the yield and farmer income, promoting joint development of local communities and enterprises while achieving both economic and ecological benefits. After commissioning, the project is expected to generate nearly 188.672 GWh of green electricity annually, equivalent to saving about 55,700 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 145,600 tons. It will further support the transformation of the local energy structure and contribute to Lanzhou’s achievement of its dual-carbon goals.
